Somewhere between the third TikTok conspiracy and the forty-seventh mention of “woke mobs,” someone decided that being anti-fascist was un-American.
Let that ferment in your skull for a second.
Anti. Fascist. Is. Un-American.
You have to be inhaling aerosolized lead paint through a QAnon-branded vape to believe that.
It’s not just wrong—it’s quantum-level stupid.
Like, “divides by zero and collapses reality” stupid.
We’re talking full Homer Simpson wearing a flag as a diaper, yelling about freedom while goose-stepping into a Hobby Lobby.
They told me Antifa was the enemy.
Well, congratulations.
You’re officially the villain in your grandfather’s war story.
You’re calling the ideological descendants of the literal anti-Nazis “domestic terrorists” while waving flags your great-uncle earned by actually shooting at fascists.
You’ve flipped the moral compass so hard it filed a restraining order.
You’ve been sold reverse-history in a red, white, and blue can—and you drank every drop like it was Mountain Dew for your soul.
Fascism: a political system where a strongman consolidates power, crushes dissent, deifies the state, and wraps it all in patriotic wallpaper.
Anti-fascism: saying “nah, fuck that.”
America (supposedly): founded by people who said “nah, fuck that” to kings, empires, and forced obedience.
So riddle me this, IQ-depleted Patriots™: if you fought literal Nazis in WWII… and fascists were the Nazis… and Antifa is anti-fascist… then who the fuck are you siding with?
You’re not fighting for freedom.
You’re fighting for familiarity dressed up as liberty.
You’re cosplaying America while pushing the playbook of its enemies.
You are red, white, and brain-dead.
But not just garden-variety stupid.
No, no. This requires curated, artisanal stupidity—aged in conspiracy barrels, filtered through Facebook memes, and served lukewarm at a school-board meeting.
The kind of stupid where you look at a swastika and think, “Well, it’s symmetrical. Must be liberal propaganda.”
This is Stupid-as-Identity.
Stupid as badge.
Stupid as lifestyle brand.
It’s not just that these people believe nonsense—it’s that they’re proud to believe it.
Like idiots who tattoo “Don’t Tread on Me” on their necks—while begging for more boots to lick.
And it works because they don’t define terms—they inhabit them like costumes.
“Freedom” means banning books.
“Truth” means whatever your cousin reposted.
“Patriot” means owning more guns than teeth.
And “Antifa” means literally anyone who said maybe don’t worship authoritarianism like it’s your uncle’s bass boat.
You’ve been marketed fascism with an eagle on the can—and you drank it like it was communion.
And when people protest, when people say no, when people dare to disrupt your fantasy of a frozen America that never changed and never challenged you—you call them the threat.
Because God forbid someone update the mirror you’ve been staring into since 1985.
Let’s be generous.
Let’s say some of you aren’t lost causes.
Let’s say you’ve just been staring at the same cracked mirror for too long—the one that reflects you as a noble freedom-fighter while your boots are actually on the wrong feet and your flag’s upside down.
You were handed a mirror that never updates.
It’s preloaded with 1950s sitcoms, Ronald Reagan fan-fiction, and a deep, unrelenting fear of empathy.
So when you see someone scream against fascism, you think: “That’s chaos. That’s the enemy. That’s… un-American.”
No, Greg. That’s just what a spine looks like.
And what does that make you?
The background character screaming “Let’s go Brandon” while the actual world burns behind you.
You think you’re the main character, but you’re the canned laughter in the sitcom of democracy’s collapse—the laugh track to your own indoctrination.
If anti-fascism is radical, if resisting authoritarianism is “woke,” if defending basic human rights makes someone suspicious—then what the fuck are you defending?
Obedience? Fear? Patriotism as cosplay? “Freedom” as a brand you can’t afford?
You’re not defending America.
You’re defending the hallucination of one.
You’re a child playing soldier in the ruins of a myth, lashing out at the adults who told you Santa was actually Mussolini.
So no—I’m not anti-American.
I’m anti-bullshit.
I’m anti-fantasyland authoritarian cosplay.
I’m anti-whatever flavor of cowardice it takes to look at fascism and say, “Yes, but it’s our fascism.”
And if that’s “un-American,” then maybe we need to redefine the term.
Or better yet—let it burn down with the rest of the empty slogans.
Because if being anti-fascist makes me the enemy, then you’ve already chosen your side.
And history will remember you the same way we remember the other cowards—
draped in flags, dead-eyed and screaming, too stupid to know who you were serving.
