The World’s Dumbest Trojan Horse

Delivered by Overreach

They’re going to do it. The idiot Right is going to hand us the keys. In their frothing, mouth-breathing, Constitution cosplay crusade to consolidate power, they’re going to end the filibuster, inflate the executive branch into a monarchy, and accidentally build the Left a fully-loaded revolutionary war machine. And I, for one, will be standing by in a silk robe with a mimosa, ready to watch the tide turn like Moses with a middle finger.

Because here’s the delicious irony: the more they claw at control, the more they lay the groundwork for their own undoing. Every rule they shred in the name of “saving the country” becomes a precedent we can inherit. Every sacred check they desecrate in blind allegiance to Trump’s ego becomes a permission slip for the next government to actually get shit done. They think they’re rigging the system forever—but they’re too stupid to realize they’re digging a canal. And tides, bless them, flow both ways.

Imagine it: the filibuster is gone. The Left wins a clean 2028 election, fueled by the inevitable backlash of too many bought courts, too many bans, too much fascist cosplay performed by people who couldn’t pass a 7th-grade civics test. And when that moment arrives, when the House is blue, the Senate is functional, and the Presidency is held by someone who knows what a book is—we’re in business. Not the limp, “maybe we can increase Pell Grants” kind of business. I’m talking thermonuclear reform from orbit.

Executive orders with real teeth. Student debt? Gone. Citizens United? Reversed and replaced with a wet slap to the face of every corporation that ever confused campaign finance with free speech. Tax codes rewritten with actual moral vision. Supreme Court expanded and term-limited so hard, Justice Thomas will feel it in his ghost. All legal. All righteous. All born from the very powers the Right is currently gifting us like the world’s dumbest Trojan horse.

And here’s where it gets absurd, and I mean truly clownhorn absurd: they think they’re the saviors of tradition. They think they’re locking the doors to keep out the chaos. But in their panic, they’re just lighting the damn house on fire and handing us a fireproof cape. They’ve mistaken consolidation for permanence. But power doesn’t stay still. It’s not a fortress—it’s a current. And you can only dam it for so long before it breaks your whole model and washes your flag collection into the gutter.

This is Mirror Theory playing out in real time: a movement so obsessed with its reflection that it becomes a parody of the very fear it projects. They scream about tyrants, then build the palace. They warn of authoritarian overreach, then give their god-king immunity. They chant about stolen elections, then try to steal every future one with legislative gerrymandering and judicial puppets. But when your mirror refuses to update, it cracks. And when it cracks, the light gets in.

Now, none of this works unless we get one thing: a fair shot in 2028. That’s the hinge. If the rules remain legible, if courts still recognize outcomes, if elections still count, then the current becomes navigable. This isn’t a slogan. It’s a condition. Hold that, and everything else becomes possible.

So let them have their power grabs. Let them tear down every procedural safeguard in pursuit of MAGA-geddon. Let them bloat the presidency into a demigod slot. Let them normalize executive fiat and scream about “unitary theory” until their veins burst. Because when that pendulum swings, when a progressive president finally walks into the Oval with that kind of juice—when an AOC or a still-unknown poetic assassin takes the reins—it won’t be restoration. It’ll be reformation. It won’t be compromise. It’ll be reckoning.

The snake is eating its tail. And the fools are too busy measuring their own shriveled sense of power to realize they’re feeding it. When it turns, it won’t forget.

And goddamn, what a day that’ll be.
